General information

Abstract

The X-RISKS Thesaurus contains 646 concepts covering the multiple risks affecting forests and the forest-wood sector. Concepts are described in French (100%) and English (100%), each with a sourced definition. They are organised into 6 thematic branches and 14 collections corresponding to the main biotic and abiotic hazards affecting forests like, among others, fire, drought, storm, insects, pathogens, or wild ungulates, … The structure of the thesaurus is based on the four components identified in the IPCC’s conceptual framework for risk: hazard, vulnerability, exposure, and response. This thesaurus was developed by the "Forest Multirisk Thesaurus" working group of the X-RISKS project, PEPR FORESTT (ANR-24-PEFO-0005). X-RISKS thesaurus complements, within the scope of multiple risks in forests, the semantic artefacts in the field of environment, and in particular those defined within the IN-SYLVA France and AnaEE France research infrastructures.
